hope for haiti

During the Fall of 2009 God put Haiti on the heart of Capstone as the only third world country in the Western Hemisphere. After praying about this partnership God opened the door to partner with Keith and Cindy Lashbrook who have been missionaries in Haiti for the past 13 years. The Lashbrook Ministry has established a church, school, boys home, girls home, feeding program and adoption agency all in order to reach the people of Haiti in the name of Christ. We had the honor to meet with the Lashbrooks twice before the end of 2009.

The Lashbrooks Ministry is based out of Port de Paix in northern Haiti. Even though they were not in Port Au Prince they have been greatly affected by this devestating earthquake. They care for over 100 orphans and are planning for many refugees to spill into Port de Paix searching for hope. The Lashbrooks will soon be out of fuel, food, and supplies.

You can help the Lashbrooks. This week we are rallying our community (schools, churches, businesses, and individuals) for a huge supply campaign for the Lashbrooks and their ministry to be shipped to Haiti Feb 1. Below you will find a PDF with a list of items needed. Please consider filling up a Rubber Maid Tote with some of the items listed and bring to Capstone Church by Monday, Jan 25th. If you have any questions please email Walt Tanner [walt@capstonechurch.net] You can give directly to the Lashbrooks here.
