Luke 4

After the Baptism of Jesus in the Jordan and a new beginning, Jesus is led into the desert to prepare for his ministry. The enemy sees this as an opportunity like in Genesis to come alongside and temp those God has given authority. Jesus is tempted three times but his identity in who he was gives him the power to overcome those temporary satisfactions for eternal treasure. Jesus models for us how to deal with temptation and the power of knowing whose we are and who we are.
