1 Timothy 2:1–2
First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.

Our leaders at the national level are in need of prayer more than ever. There is criticism around every corner. Another emergency or challenge coming over the hill. And much uncertainty in the transition of power from one president to another. Paul’s letter to Timothy tells us that we should be praying for all people in “high places.” Spend time praying for our nation, its leaders, and the direction of the country today.
