Day 20 | The Oppressed

Isaiah 1:17
Learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow’s cause.

The church is called to be an extension of the Gospel. Too often the church has not been the voice of the oppressed. We have sat in our pews and chairs in church and pointed the finger at others to blame for the oppression. We have prayed for God to come to the aid of the oppressed, without considering the fact that we might be that prayer’s answer. Pray for those in the world who are under oppression. Listen to the Lord in the coming days, weeks, and months to how you might be the answer to your own prayer.
